The Hargreaves Foundation supports Haddington Athletic Community Football Club

The Trustees of the Hargreaves Foundation are pleased to announce funding has been awarded to Haddington Athletic Community Football Club in Scotland. Based in East Lothian, the club currently has more than 400 junior members aged between five and 16. Run by volunteer coaches and committee members, it is a non-profit making club with all funds raised monthly through player fees being invested back into the footballing facility and running costs associated with it.

The funding will enable a further 20 children, who would otherwise be unable to attend due to financial constraints, to benefit from weekly training sessions at Haddington Athletic Community Football Club at no cost. Each child will also receive a free training kit.

Haddington Athletic Community Football Club is focused on ensuring that football is accessible to all children and encouraging disadvantaged children to join the club. Benefits of participation in an outdoor team sport include improved physical and mental health and wellbeing.
